Feast of Tabernacles 2011/ Loysville, PA

Shalom! We wanted to Thank everyone who came out for the Israeli Cultural Day on Sabbath for all the time, effort, food, well, everything you helped do to make the day a success!
This is a preliminary email about the Feast of Tabernacles. We will be hosting Yahweh’s Feast of Tabernacles this year at the Paradise Stream Family Campground, in Loysville, PA. Our family will be setting up on Thursday, October 13th and leaving on Sunday October 23rd. This will be a personal responsibility feast. Each family should bring enough food and place settings for their family. Each head of household is welcome to bring their teachings, and family members any specials, talents, etc. This is Yahweh’s Feast, and all are welcome. To help keep the schedule organized, if you have a teaching you would like to share, or anything else, please call Dave so that we can make one schedule to hand out, to include a time slot for you.
Please note, there are two double Sabbaths. Preparation day for them will be on Thurs., and the schedule will be light on Thurs. so that everyone can make their own preparations. There is a camp store, a laundry room and bath/shower facilities on the premises. The mini golf should be open. The pool will be closed, but if it is warm enough to swim, there is a creek to swim/wade in. There is a play ground, a game room, and a stocked lake with peddle boats.
This is what the preliminary schedule looks like.

Sun. the 16th Thru Wed. the 19th: We would like to do something a little different this year and offer optional workshops on preparation. We have 8 slots set aside for them as it stands now, although we can probably fit more in if you write or call with ideas of what you would like to see covered that is not on the list so far. Right now we have Kristie Grier doing a soap making demonstration and workshop- the date and time will be announced later. Then we have Making Tinctures (diane laverty and Rebekah), Map & Compass course (Dave, Patton and Karl), Canning water bath and pressure canning introduction (Shanna Ridener)., Medical (to be announced, waiting for speaker confirmation), Food Storage (Dave Laverty) and a Eating Wild Foods walk and talk(diane laverty & Shanna Ridener). If you would like to teach or co teach a workshop please call so we can add/ schedule it. If you have an idea for a workshop that wasn’t mentioned, please call so we can try to accommodate the idea. If you aren’t interested in attending the workshops, or only want to attend select workshops, Scripture study should be available to alternately attend. Any Baptized adult male that would like to lead a Scripture study as an alternative, please call so we can add you to the schedule.
Wed. the 19th at 7pm: Women’s group fellowship - join us for fellowship and chocolate!

We would like to get a head count for the workshops once we have scheduled exact times for them. We will send out another email when they are scheduled. That way, even if you are attending another feast, but you would like to attend a particular workshop, we can make arrangements to accommodate you. If just visiting for the day, there is a 5.00 charge to enter the campground and use the facilities, per person over age 16.

We will also be scheduling a Talent Show and Activities for the children. If you would like to coordinate either of these things or something else, please email or call!
If you have any questions, please email or call. When making reservations at the campground, please tell them you are with the group Yahweh’s Newport Assembly for the discount. The phone number for the campground is 717-789-2117. This is the link:
